sylvertongue: Lucifer Morningstar, drinking (Lucifer - Wait For It)
Hi Writer!

General Preferences: My tastes are wide. I am happy with a story of any rating, gen to explicit. Shipfic, plot based fic, or slice of life - any approach is fine. For canons where I don't otherwise nope out, PWP is also welcome. I've given some takes on the canons and characters, and some prompts - but don't feel you need to follow any of these.

If you're a tastes-researching writer, here are my bookmarks and fic on AO3, and letters for previous fests are on this journal. If you're interested in tastes for higher-rated fics, you might check out my letter for this year's Smut Swap.

Tropes and plots I love: 'Forced to tell the truth' scenarios of any kind (truth serum, sudden telepathy, drinking games, thinking-they're-about-to-die confessions etc.). Trapped together in a cabin type scenarios. Anything that deals with a character's area of competence and lets them shine, especially if they're an artist or in science/engineering. Mythology for a particular universe. Exploring a universe's magic, technology or political systems. Suddenly soulbonded / telepathic / body swapped / unable to be apart from one another for Reasons / swapped powers. Magical realism. Team or group bonding stories that focus on found family. Mythologies, real or imagined, for each canon.

General DNW: Non-con, dub-con, incest, any kind of explicit or implied sexual relationship between an adult and child or teenager - or in a mentor/student relationship, humiliation in any context (including awkward sex), infidelity, deathfic, pregnancy, kidfic, animal harm, eye injury, Trump in any form. And a cephalopod (squid, octopus) phobia, um. Although tentaclefic is fine, so long as there is no actual cephalopod, go figure.

MASH: Hawkeye & Margaret

I love the quiet moments we get in the show when Hawkeye and Margaret get to be friends and supports to one another. They both have terrible, difficult jobs that can't be put down, they don't really get a break from, and they're both excellent in their fields.

I'd love to see a moment like this, the two of them understanding one another. Might be set anywhere in the show's run, or back in the States. I'm an absolute sucker for stories about how Hawkeye finds his feet again after the war - or doesn't, as the case may be.

As one idea, I'm interested in the way canon treats Margaret. By current standards, she's harassed and bullied constantly. Is that the way she experiences things? If so, how can it be okay between Hawkeye and Margaret? Is it in fact, okay? Maybe it's a brother-sister dynamic of 'only I get to make your life miserable and I will take apart anyone else who tries'. If you'd like to write a dynamic like this, it doesn't need to come out happy if it doesn't feel right to do that. I'd prefer that they don't end the fic at odds with one another, but don't feel you need to gloss over anything if that's the story you'd like to tell.

I'm also interested in the ways that different members of camp see, or don't see, through Hawkeye's "I AM TOTALLY FINE" act. I'd love to see how that looks from Margaret's side.

If you'd like to tackle something hi-jinxish, I would adore a fic about Margaret and Hawkeye teaming up to prank someone. The whole camp, for preference, or perhaps just BJ.

This fandom is a beloved one for me, but one that lends itself very well to angst, bitterness, PTSD recovery, and that very particular pain that is having been part of a tight knit group and then knowing that that group will never again be together, or the same. It's a fandom of deep love, and deep loss, and finding small joys in between.

Please feel free to include any supporting characters you might like. I'm a Trapper John girl, myself, but anyone and everyone is loved.

For this fandom, I would prefer a lower rating, and a canon-typical setting. And since infidelity and mourning are canonical themes in this fandom, it's okay to include them as an element if it fits the story even though those show up in my general DNW list. I don't ship them even a little, so while it's totally canon that Hawkeye flirts with Margaret, I would prefer that it doesn't go any further than that between them.

Harry Dresden: Harry/Thomas

Oblivious pining on one or both sides, with mutual insecurities that they are Not Good Enough for the other? Yes, please. Lots of mutual admiration, yes. Hot White Court sex? Please, if you would like, but not required.

I love this canon for its magic systems, weapons and politics, so if any of those make their way into a fic it would be a lovely bonus. I adore Demonreach and its whole setup, and I'd love to see a scenario where they find a way for Thomas to stay with Harry on the island for a while.

I'm not into the incest angle as a kink, but more as an extra barrier in their relationship that they need to work out a way to be okay with. (They don't really seem to care, particularly, from what canon gives us, so maybe it's more a case of it being one more reason that Harry doesn't seem to consider that his constantly thinking 'wow Thomas is hot' means anything.) Does something about being related manage to get around the True Love White Court problem? Do they tell themselves it's clearly not serious as long as they can touch without pain, when in fact that just doesn't work on siblings?

For this fandom, you can do almost anything and I will be happy. Be as crackish or AU or canonical as you like (I don't mind any kind of AU here, even mundane ones, so long as some kind of magic or magic-like ability stays). Be as dirty-bad-wrong or fluffy as you like - higher ratings would be loved for this fandom, but certainly not required.

Prompts - Harry has to work undercover at Thomas' salon. Why? I have not a clue, but I think it could be hilarious. Maybe it's a sting operation for some big bad who likes pampering. Maybe Harry has to lay low and this is as unexpected a place to hide as any. He also has to pose as Thomas' boyfriend, because he's so terrible at salon work why else would he be there. Or, maybe he turns out to be really excellent at the job and that's a surprise to everyone. Tropes I'd love here: Fake relationship, pretending to be engaged/married/just really serious, public displays of affection for the benefit of the disguise, pining, insecurities, mutual admiration.

- Thomas is the only person who can keep Harry company on Demonreach. He's used to fighting a demon in his head, kind of, so he can help. Maybe he had to call in a major favour to get the magical immunity he needs to be effective on the island, and Harry is even more mad at him for it, but can't send him back because he paid so much for the favour. Bonus here if Thomas tries to teach Harry to fight the weird rapey impulses that Winter gives him, maybe by doing a lot of submitting. Tropes: Slow slide toward codependency, bonding, fighting leads to sex, loyalty kink, any of the 'truth serum' type plots.

- Harry's going after the Black Council and he doesn't trust anyone else not to get themselves immediately killed. Infiltration, explosions, exasperation, fireworks, sex in the blood of their enemies, maybe. Maybe a lust spell that backfired, I don't know.

Fandom specific DNW: Please don't change their backstory - for this pairing to work for me they need to preserve that met-as-adults and didn't immediately know they were related dynamic. I don't need you to have them pretend or not acknowledge their connection, or constantly worry about whether it is Okay, just that is was formed as adults. Incest is usually in my DNW list to be safe, but I'm totally on board with met-as-adults brothers. (And I'm also totally on board with your likes, whatever they are, writer - I don't want to sound like an anti here! <3)

Highlander: Methos & Joe, Methos/Duncan, Methos & Duncan & Amanda

This is an old comfort fandom. I love its potential for the particular angst of immortals, the quiet friendships between them all, the powerful love that builds through the centuries. I'm failing a bit on a good list of prompts here, but it's not because I have any less love for this fandom, I promise.

I'm a Methos girl, and so I'd love a fic that features him. I love his intelligence, his ruthlessness, his playfulness and complexities. I love that he's a sneak and a chameleon and a survivor, and that he will fuck your shit up and you'll never see it coming.

I like the friendship between Joe and Methos, the tension between Watcher and Immortal and Joe and Adam. I like the constant knowledge that their lifespans are so dissimilar, and the way that effects their friendship. The shared frustration with Duncan's antics. The share love of research and the pursuit of knowledge.

For Duncan/Methos, I enjoy the reluctant, inevitable falling in love of someone as cagey as Methos is. The sex life of two very experienced people is also a great deal of fun - but not necessary if you'd rather not. I prefer pining and/or getting together stories over established relationship slice of life, but any approach is welcome, really.

For the three of them, I love their dynamic. I'd really love a caper that needs all of their skills for some reason - heist, infiltration, assassination, economic takeover ... or maybe it's just planning a surprise party for Joe. I just like to see them working together and enjoying one another's company.

Iron Man: JARVIS/Tony, JARVIS & Tony

There is not near enough fic out there that explores the relationship between JARVIS and Tony. I would love to hear about their friendship or more, whatever you'd like. I adore JARVIS and his snark, and Tony and his everything.

What's it like to be an AI and how do they learn to communicate with one another? When and how did JARVIS reach personhood, and what is his understanding of emotion?

- I'd love a scenario that lets JARVIS be the BAMF who saves the day when Tony is in peril.

- Or a quiet slice of life, showing them hanging out together in whatever way works.

- If you posit that Tony has the form of Extremis that works a bit like technomancy, he and JARVIS could have a mental connection. How would that play out?

- Extremis!Tony has a long lifespan. JARVIS is infinitely replicatable. What does it look like when they are both alive beyond their original eras?

If the ship appeals to you, I'm very interested in how a relationship might work and how they negotiated the differences in their status - JARVIS has to be able to say no. What do they like? What are they both getting out of it? JARVIS has access to the fabrication units, and can send out work orders if he needs humans to install new fixtures, so he can conceivably build anything he likes. How does that work out?

- A PWP here is perfectly welcome. I like the idea of JARVIS having flexible tentacle-like arms in certain rooms.

Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter
Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing, Soulmate Telepathy, Soulbond Telepathy, Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining, Dreaming of Soulmate, Harry Potter AU: Sorting Hat Also Randomly Soulbonds Students, Soulbond Causes Shared Magic Powers, Waking Up Soulbonded After a Night Out

This is one of my never-get-tired-of-it pairings. It's a rival!ship of the very best kind. Intense feelings, mutual obsession, sports field rivalry, complex moral questions, relatively well matched skills.

For this pairing, if you'd like to write something that includes explicit sex - which would be very welcome but not necessary - please set it at a time when the characters are over 18. Eighth year is fine, post-Hogwarts by however many years is also fine.

Feel free to mix and match with the tags - I like them all together and separately.

Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing - Spell, potion or artifact gone wrong! And now they're even more obsessed with one another, but it probably takes someone else to point out that it's not natural because neither of them noticed. Maybe it includes a 'can't be far away from each other' effect, or a 'compelled to comfort each other' clause. How do they realise in the end? Then what happens?

Soulmate Telepathy or Soulbond Telepathy - There can never be enough telepathy fic. Do they know who their bondmate is, or are they just a voice they become friends with? What happens when they find out? Or did they know all along, and spend a lot of time insulting each other? If it's a case of soulmates, when does the telepathy start, and it's very early on, how does that change things?

Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining - One of them is consciously pining, and I don't mind who. For Reasons, there is a soulbond needed. Maybe it's a way to block Voldemort somehow. Maybe it grants extra powers. Maybe it had to be done to save someone's life or sanity. Either way, it was very necessary and yet one of them balked at it, and it didn't seem to make sense. And then it did.

Dreaming of Soulmate - The dreams start suddenly. Triggered by what? Or maybe they've always been there, making each of them feel less alone, although to Harry they're just dreams of an imaginary friend. How would they relate differently to each other as a result? Do they know who's on the other side of the dreams?

Harry Potter AU: Sorting Hat Also Randomly Soulbonds Students - Harry might manage to talk the Hat out of Slytherin, but it won't budge on the soulbond issue. Or maybe he can't talk it out of either. I guess it depends how the Hat feels about interhouse bonding.

Soulbond Causes Shared Magic Powers - A soulbond - accidental, intentional, or coerced - boosts the magical ability of both parties. I'd kind of love a 'crack Auror pair' take on this, but whatever approach you want will be great.

Waking Up Soulbonded After a Night Out - Post-Hogwarts, there's a big night. And Harry's heard of waking up married in Vegas, but this is intolerable. And there's nothing he can do about it. Except soulbonds don't just form out of nowhere, so there must be some kind of compatibility there. Somehow?

Harry Potter - JK Rowling

Sirius Black/James Potter
Accidental Soulbond, Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing, Soulbond Telepathy, Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining

This pairing is so intense, and that's what I love about it. I think Sirius would do literally anything for James, and James - while not quite so suicidally loyal - thinks his best mate is awesome. My favourite dynamic for this pairing is mutual and oblivious pining followed by the terrible/wonderful realisation that one's best mate is hot like burning and something should really be done about that.

Setting - anywhere from sixth year to post-Hogwarts. Rating - whatever you'd like, G to explicit. Lily - However you'd like to write her. It might be an open relationship V arrangement, a breakup, never got together because she could see what was really going on. No bashing, though, please, and I'd prefer not a threesome arrangement.

Feel free to mix and match with the tags - I like them all together and separately.

Accidental Soulbond - The kind of magic-pioneering shenanigans going on with those two, this could happen pretty easily. Now what? Do they get even more obsessed with each other?

Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing - Same scenario, only they don't know why they suddenly can't stop thinking about one another even worse than usual.

Soulbond Telepathy - Oh, the extra trouble they could cause with telepathy. I'm a sucker for sudden!telepahy fic - how do they discover it? What secrets are accidentally revealed? How unnerving is it for the people around them? Are there downsides?

Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining - In this scenario, I prefer Sirius to be the one pining, but if you'd like to go the other way that's fine too. Maybe they had to take a soulbond for Reasons - one of them was in a bind, maybe getting Sirius out of some pureblood thing, maybe done to save one of their lives after an injury, whatever you like. Maybe Sirius doesn't want to take the bond and James doesn't see the problem. Angst! Then there's the bond, and it turns out, after much evasion on the piner's part, that they just wanted to hide their Very Deep Feelings.

Loki/Tony Stark
Soulmate Telepathy Dreaming of Soulmate Accepting a Soulbond to Save the World Accidentally Soulbonded Enemies Chemically Induced/Artificially Created Soulbond Secret Soulmates You Can't Die As Long As Your Soulmate Is Alive Extreme Stress Can Transport Your Soulmate Through Time/Space To Come To Your Aid Refusing To Admit That You're Each Other's Soulmates

I like this pairing because Loki and Tony read as very similar to me - the smart kid, privately insecure, outwardly privileged but lonely and betrayed by their father figures. Carrying the burdens of their past actions. Presenting themselves as the world expects to see them. Stubborn and independent, with not so great self-preservation instincts. Innovators and ruthless bastards. (If you read them differently, that's totally fine with me - this is just my mini-ship manifesto. I would be also be delighted to receive fic that doesn't follow this read at all.)

I like all of these tropes, separately or together.

Rating - Any rating you like. Smut is very much enjoyed, G-rated and anywhere in between fine too. If you want to play with Jotun form and Tony's reactions to it, that's awesome too.

Pick any point in canon you like, or pre-canon if you'd like to go the 'aware of each other all their lives' route. In that case, you can either go with Loki being 'mate-less most of his life if soulmates are expected in Asgard, or really confused to suddenly have this bond if not.

Dreaming of Soulmate / Extreme Stress Can Transport Your Soulmate Through Time/Space To Come To Your Aid - For both or either of these, how would their stories be different if there were the case? How might it work? What 'stress' is enough, and is it a full teleportation or just a shadow of the mate? If dreams, do they have any conscious control? I like the idea of the support of this safe-seeming dream friend, and then the difficulty of ending up on opposite sides of a war. I'd love to read them helping each other with invention problems over the years and being somewhat horrified once they discover who the other is, or in Tony's case, that the other is actually real. Has it happened all their lives or just after they've met?

Accepting a Soulbond to Save the World / Accidentally Soulbonded Enemies / Chemically Induced/Artificially Created Soulbond - I can see them both accepting, reluctantly, a soulbond to save the world, and then what? Or one of the Gems or someone's rouge power bonding them. Or a villain force-bonding them (or maybe Loki himself, for Loki-reasons, and maybe he thought it would be temporary). I'd like to see the fallout of any of these as they get to know each other.

Secret Soulmates - I'd love this. What if, on meeting, they recognise each other but can't let anyone know because they'd both be considered compromised. Combined with the Dreaming of Soulmate this could be excellent pining material.

Soulmate Telepathy - There will be never be enough telepathy. And these two would never shut up, ever.

You Can't Die As Long As Your Soulmate Is Alive - Angsty opportunities here with immortals and mortals. Does this mean that Tony's death will kill Loki? Or that Tony lives forever because his lifespan now matches Loki's? Or that Loki will need to Golden Apple Tony to keep them both alive? Or some other twist?

Refusing To Admit That You're Each Other's Soulmates - I can see this combined with any of the other tags. Show me the pining and the stubborn.

Buffy (TV)
Fanfic
Spike/Buffy Summers
Soulbond Telepathy, Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining, Telepathic Sex Between the Soulbonded, Accepting a Soulbond to Save the World, Accidentally Soulbonded Enemies, Claiming Bite Causes Soulbond

I love the physicality and carnality of the Buffy/Spike dynamic. I'm interested in this pairing as a pair of very good fighters who love using their bodies in battle, celebrating each other's deadliness. I think Spike is a revelation to Buffy, that it's a relief to be with someone who gets her and who she doesn't have to hold back with. Someone who has no problems with a woman stronger than he is, but who's also not afraid to push back. And someone who actively loves sex and has no shame about it.

I love Buffy and Spike together. I think that Spike gets Buffy on a level none of her other partners have. For that matter, on a level that none of the Scoobies do. I like seeing her have that acceptance from him, and I like seeing Buffy explore the side she sees as 'dark' with him. Spike doesn't get acceptance from Buffy through most of canon, though, and the darkness and dysfunction in their relationship is part of what makes it interesting. I love to see Buffy put into a position where she has to explicitly and publicly choose Spike.

In Buffy-verse, I am open to darkfic, fluff, porn, casefic - anything, really. It's a dark canon, and also a fun one, so go with whatever direction you want. Grief and mourning are a big part of the canon, for this canon deathfic is okay, if that's what you want to write. And I'm open to any way you want to handle the concept of "soul" with Spike. If you want it to be an abstract concept and treat all the prompts at just 'bonds' that don't require a soul, that's absolutely fine with me.

Accidental Soulbonded Enemies, Accepting a Soulbond to Save the World or Unwilling Soulbond reveals their heavily denied lust for one another. And then probably sex, and also some Secret Relationship. (I am always here for Buffy telling the Scoobies where to stick it when they get all weird and controlling, though.) If you prefer to write sex, angst, fade to black or slice of life is fine.

Soulbond Telepathy - I have to think that it would equal parts horrifying and hilarious to end with Spike in your head. Maybe a comfort, too, if you're looking for acceptance and you're not finding it in the rest of your friends.

Telepathic Sex Between the Soulbonded - Yes. This.

Claiming Bite Causes Soulbond - Also yes. I like the added layer of potential conflict here, because Spike (should have? did?) know what would happen and did it anyway. (Why?) Maybe Buffy's actually okay with the whole deal? Feel free to use whatever mythology you like for how and why claiming bites work and what they do.

Fandom Specific DNW: Please don't have Buffy feeling ashamed of her sexuality or what she and Spike do together. Questioning her moral compass is fine, but I'm here for Buffy reveling in the sex and violence of their relationship. Caveat: please avoid that stage where Buffy was actively beating Spike up for non-sexy reasons.

The Administration - Manna Francis
Fanfic
Sara Lovelady & Val Toreth
Learned Their Soulmate is a Horrible Person, Soulmate Empathy, Injuries Transfer to Soulmate

I'd like a story that ends with Toreth and Sara being important and safe for one another, even if the path there is hard and angst ridden. Or maybe it's easy!

I can't see Toreth being able to cope with a sudden soulbond without snapping and killing his bonded and/or himself, but in the kind of world where everyone is low-grade aware of their soulmate all their lives even before meeting them? I'm there.

And I'd love to see what it would be like for relatively well-adjusted Sara to be bonded to personality disordered Toreth. She clearly loves him (platonically of course) and is loyal to him. That can't be easy even in the canon verse. What is it like in a bonded-verse that includes at least some transfer of experience/thought/emotion between bonded pairs? Would he be better adjusted, if he had someone he could be certain of? Would she have better luck picking boyfriends? Would the bond have made it hard for Sara to be "normal"? Maybe she ends up disordered as well?

Learned Their Soulmate is a Horrible Person: If you like this one, you could focus on Sara's adjustment to discovering that the person on the other end of the bond is an I&I Para. Or maybe she doesn't have to adjust - maybe the bond means she's just happy to be near her bondmate. What's it like for Toreth - does he worry about his effect on Sara? Can he? If you want to make this angsty, go ahead, but if you do I'd like an ending that feels hopeful for them at least.

Injuries Transfer: In a universe like The Administration this could be fairly horrific. Maybe Sara has a fear of water as well. Maybe Toreth is paranoid about not getting injured, ever, because he can't stand Sara to be hurt. Maybe the transfer only happens sometimes - how and why? How might this rule affect the way Toreth runs his sex life? (Does being drugged count as an injury?)

Soulmate Empathy: I'm interested in how this might work when one half of the pair is personality disordered. Does Toreth learn more about emotion from Sara?

Accidental Soulbond Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing Aliens Made Them Soulbond Soulbond Requires Physical Proximity Soulbond Telepathy Soulbonding Grants Powers Soulmate Empathy Soulmates Feel Each Other's Pain and Pleasure Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining

For this fandom, I'd most enjoy something set in the first two seasons. So many possibilities for soulbonding in this fandom. Ancient devices everywhere, Alien Rituals all over the place. This is either an angsty pining or wacky hijinks fandom for me, usually, but I'm not picky at all. I just miss these dorks.

I like all the tags, separately and together. I mean for the prompts to read as if they apply to both the pairing or the foursome, whichever you may have matched on.

Accidental Soulbond / Accidentally Soulbonded Without Realizing - This team is always close, but lately it's been ridiculous. Now John is bringing Rodney Powerbars and neither of them are sure why, and maybe Rodney brought back a flower he'd never seen before but Teyla likes in her tea. How and when did it happen? What does it look like from the outside? Does it change anything? I really love the found family dynamic here.

Aliens Made Them Soulbond - The Earth types didn't actually believe anything would happen, but it did. And it's awkward and kind of wonderful and then awkward again.

Soulbond Requires Physical Proximity - John and Rodney were always joined at the hip but this is getting ridiculous. If all four of them, it's more ridiculous yet.

Soulbond Telepathy - It's in all my prompts and I love it. And no one can sleep with Rodney's thoughts in their head.

Soulbonding Grants Powers - Maybe Rodney can use the Ancient gene now. Maybe there's some other Ancient half-ascended power available to the bonded.

Soulmate Empathy / Soulmates Feel Each Other's Pain and Pleasure - This team, sharing *feelings*? They may never see John again.

Unwilling Soulbond Reveals Pining - If John/Rodney, I don't mind who's pining for who. If the OT4, I prefer John/Rodney and Teyla/Ronon or perhaps it's just John pining for his whole team.

Relationships: Val Toreth/Keir Warrick

I love the series because it pings hard on my "assassins in love" kink. I'm (oddly enough, I guess) not all that invested in the actual kink, but more in Toreth's ongoing struggles with being part of a couple. I love that he, and everyone around him is aware that he's personality disordered, and I'm very intrigued by the ways in which he himself, as well as Warrick and Sara, manage that. We don't often get to see why Warrick loves Toreth outside of their sex life, though he clearly does. I'd love to see that explored.

Ideas: Toreth finally gets to see his own psych profile. Warrick meets Toreth's mother. Someone reevaluates Toreth's psych profile (anyone but Carnac, I can't take him any more!) and finds he's making progress. Sara's POV on Toreth living with Warrick. Maybe you offered this fandom because you were hoping for a porn request, in which case go ahead with my enthusiastic blessing and see letter for more. Maybe Warrick and Toreth travel outside New London and Shit Goes Down, and Toreth gets to unleash mayhem defending Warrick. Maybe Warrick does the same.

I am a little bit bored with the Toreth Is Insanely Jealous plotline by now...I think *Toreth* is bored with that as well. Maybe he tries to fix that.

Fandom-specific DNW: No harm to Sara, please, including harm to her relationship with Toreth.

Relationships: Kylara Vatta/Rafe Dunbarger

Like The Administration, I love these two so much because they ping my 'assassins in love' kink so hard. They are both hypercompetent, ruthless people, and I really loved Kylara's arc of realisation of her nature. I so very much wanted more of their relationship.

Prompts if you enjoy them (if you don't, follow your muse!):

- Futurefic - what's next for them?

- The novels fade to black. If you enjoy writing sex scenes, I'd love to read about their first time.

- One of my favourite tropes for these kinds of ruthless-people pairings is one of them in peril, and one going for the overkill solution to get to their partner back. Bonus if they cause extra mayhem once reunited.

- I really enjoy the politics in this series. I'd love to see the two of them negotiating a political situation.

- Ky getting more comfortable with the idea that she actively enjoys battle. What does that mean for the choices she makes in the future?

This book. *This book*. I love it so much. I love that it's about an artist and her relationship and struggle with her art. I love, so much, that it's about personification of place and the magic in nature. I love that all the spirit creatures are dual-natured and might be helpful or hurtful. It is just so great, this book. You can write about anything at all, including characters not nominated, and I'll be so happy.

Ideas: I'd be really interested to read about Anna Neverra's early adventures with the mountains, if you're so inclined. (Though please note my Do Not Wants below if you tackle Anna.) Maggie, getting her poetry back. Does she go back to Cooper's house? Does she stay with Fox? What does her future relationship with the spirit creatures look like? Dora: Does she start making time for her own art? What does a 'day in the life' working at the bookshop look like? I'm interested in Dora's own creative life and her friendship with Maggie. Crow: Trickster stories are the best. Anything with Crow is great.

For this fandom, I'd prefer a fic that isn't explicit, or focused on a ship.

Fandom: Matthew Swift series - Kate Griffin
Fanfiction
Any character

The worldbuilding and the magic systems in this universe are just brilliant, and I'm so fascinated by the way urban sorcery works. I'm really interested in the relationship between Matthew and the Angels. The way they switch back and forth, what each understands about the other, to what extent they are one being. Their *origin story* - they are literally born from spam emails. (If you break the forth wall a little and read Kate Griffin's notes, anyway.) That is just the coolest to me. One of the things I enjoyed about Magicals Anonymous was seeing Swift from the outside and how hilariously irrational and yet how terrifyingly powerful he seems.

I'd love to read about Matthew and the Angels, doing pretty much anything. Pick any supporting characters you would like, or introspection is fine too.

If you enjoy the avatar characters, then I'd love to read anything at all from the POV of one or many of them. Maybe their origin stories - are they constructs or were they once human, or something else? What does the city look like to them? The magical battles? What is their relationship to the Council like? Ordinary humans?

I've read all the books and the Magicals Anonymous spinoff books, and I'm happy with a story set anywhere in the timeline, of any rating.

Fandom: Doctor Strange (2016)
Fanfiction
Relationship: Stephen Strange/Cloak of Levitation

I keep seeing this in the tagset and it's growing on me.

Tell me about Stephen Strange and the Cloak that doesn't deign to speak to just anyone. Make it cracky, make it crack treated seriously, make it smutty, make it angsty, make it horror. I don't mind. I just want to hear about the adventures of Strange and his sentient Cloak.

Does it have inter-dimensional meetings with other Significant Textiles? Aladdin's Carpet, Harry's Cloak of Invisibility, the Ministry's Curtain of Death?

Does the Cloak court Strange? Are they telepathically linked? Is there Great Angst because now Strange can never really be happy with a human? For a horror angle, is it kind of parasitic? Possessed? Or maybe their love for one another is great and true and no one would ever understand? Where are the erogenous zones on a cloak? What are smut possibilities of levitation? Look, I have a lot of questions, now that I'm brought to consider this pairing. Go wild, I will love it.

I don't like deathfic, and so if you make the Cloak friendly please don't "kill" it. If it's an Evil Cloak, killing it is okay!
sylvertongue: Lucifer Morningstar (Lucifer - Tit for Tat)
Hi Writer!

General Preferences: You can be as extremely smutty as you like, or you can write a more ship or plot based fic - I will be happy with any approach. PWP is fine, epic plotfest is also fine.

If you're a tastes-researching writer, here are my bookmarks and fic on AO3, and letters for previous fests are on this journal.

Things I Do Not Love (In Exchanges At Least): Non-con, dub-con, incest, any kind of explicit or implied sexual relationship between an adult and child or teenager - or in a mentor/student relationship, humiliation in any context (including awkward sex), infidelity, deathfic, pregnancy, kidfic, animal harm, eye injury. And a cephalopod (squid, octopus) phobia, um. Although tentaclefic is fine, so long as there is no actual cephalopod, go figure. Prefer to avoid a focus on contemporary RL politics.

Fandom: The Administration - Manna Francis
Fanfiction
Relationships: Val Toreth/Keir Warrick
Kinks: Barebacking, Comeplay, Loyalty, High Heels, Lingerie, Crossdressing, Dirty Talk, Obsession, Object Insertion, Sex Toys Under Clothing, Danger Kink, Psychopaths in Love, Assassins & Hitmen, Sex in the Blood of Our Enemies, Competence Kink, Possessive Behavior,

Original Prompts:
What I love about this ship: I kink on the emotional dynamic between the two of them, the 'two of us against the world' vibe. On Warrick's side it's that sense of 'no one gets him like I do!' when someone tries to express their Concerns, and the willingness to break all kinds of laws when Toreth is in danger. On Toreth's side it's - well, everything about the Psychopaths in Love trope. This one person (+Sara) in all the world who's a real person. The growth Toreth goes through as a result of his relationship with Warrick. The slow waning of interest in sex outside his relationship. And the general badassary and competence of both of them.

Prompt: If you were just wanting to write a porn scene, I'd love to see one of the following (but am completely open to other ideas!):

- Toreth playing on Warrick's danger kink, maybe with a fear of discovery edge. One of them crossdressing, maybe in public, perhaps under duress (lost bet, Toreth danger-kinked Warrick into it so he feels forced to, undercover operation). One of them really likes it and maybe didn't know that before - I don't mind if it's the one crossdressing or the one watching. If sex toys under clothing get involved, or insertion of objects that are not actually sex toys, even better.

- Toreth being possessive and Warrick doing that thing he does where he tells himself he's just letting Toreth do what Toreth needs to do, but secretly he loves it. Marking, comeplay, sex toys under clothing + comeplay, tra la la.

If you want something with some plot opportunities:

- I would love to see a situation that brings out Warrick's ruthless side. Maybe it's an Assassins AU (so Warrick without his angst about Toreth's job), maybe it's Toreth in peril, maybe it's Dillian in peril and they both go rescue her. Either way I'd love to see Warrick and Toreth creating bloody mayhem, maybe separately but eventually side by side. And then Sex in the Blood of Their Enemies! Or if that's not your thing, 'Wow, you're such a competent badass when you're kicking ass' sex. Part of what makes this set of kinks work for me is their transgressive nature - I like when outsider characters or even the characters themselves are aware that their behavior isn't 'normal' but characters love it anyway.

Fandom Specific DNW: No harm to Sara, including harm to her friendship with Toreth. No Toreth creeping on Dillian (it hits my infidelity DNW in a way that Toreth's random pickups don't). No Carnac unless he's being killed off in the mayhem and isn't allowed to talk terribly much.

Fandom: Good Omens
Relationship/s: Aziraphale/Crowley, Solo: Crowley (Good Omens)
Medium: Fanfiction
Kinks: Crossdressing, First Time, Kink Discovery, Loyalty, Obsession, Porn Watching/Reading, Protectiveness, Pining, Drinking Games, Truth or Dare, Somebody's Genitalia Just Got An Upgrade, Unwilling Attraction, Secret Relationships/Forbidden Relationships, Shame in Sexual Desires

Original Prompts: There is something really hot about the first sexual experience of a 6000 year old being. A lot of what I like about this dynamic is the loyalty and devotion they have for one another, and yet in some ways they really don't seem to know each other very well. In my headcanon Crowley is a fully sexed up demon with a lot of sexual experience. Aziraphale has gone through the years not quite twigging that sex is a thing he could do. But if your starting point is different, I am completely willing to go with you on it.

- Aziraphale's Genitalia Just Got an Upgrade! And now: find the demon and try this sex thing out. Bonus points if Crowley has been pining for millennia and thinks he's just a test run for Aziraphale, but he'll take what he can get.

- One of them is watching or looking at porn! Maybe they're wanking to it, maybe they're just trying to understand this sex thing (for purposes of seducing the other). Maybe both! But they're caught by the object of their thoughts. Bonus points for Kink Discovery. Extra bonus crossdressing is one of these kinks.

- They're really bored and they're playing Truth or Dare. Or maybe just getting especially drunk due to a drinking game. What could possibly go wrong! (Well. Nudity and sex.)

- Crowley and Aziraphale are a bit weird about each other. I'd love to see something that plays with the Obsession, Secret Relationship, Protectiveness, Loyalty, Pining, Unwilling Attraction, and/or Shame in Sexual Desires set. Or some of them at least.

- Crowley has Unwilling Attraction, Shame in Sexual Desires and a bad case of Pining. (He feels wrong about desiring an angel and wanting to do Things to him.) But it turns out that Aziraphale feels that shame has no place in the bedroom and actually he's completely Up For It.

- Unrequited pining: Crowley's arse over tit for Aziraphale, but he's sure that there's no chance. That doesn't stop him and his fully functional sex drive from getting off to an extensive set of fantasies. If you go this route, you can give Crowley a happy ending with Aziraphale or not have Aziraphale appear at all.

Fandom: Buffy
Relationship/s: Spike/Buffy Summers
Medium: Fanfiction
Kinks: Dirty Talk, Marathon Sex, Sex in the Blood of their Enemies, Enemies With Benefits, Enemies to Lovers, Rough Sex, Sex After Fighting/Battle, Fighting Kink, Sharing Fantasies, Claiming Bites, Loyalty Secret, Relationships/Forbidden Relationships, Bruises, fang kink, Size Kink, Manhandling/Shows of Athleticism During Sex, Accidental Soul Bond, Desperate Sex

Original Prompts: I love the physicality and carnality of the Buffy/Spike dynamic. I'm interested in this pairing as a pair of very good fighters who love using their bodies in battle, celebrating each other's deadliness, and burning off the post-fight adrenaline with sex. I think Spike is a revelation to Buffy, that it's a relief to be with someone who gets her and who she doesn't have to hold back with. Someone who has no problems with a woman stronger than he is, but who's also not afraid to push back. And someone who actively loves sex and has no shame about it.

- Accidental Soul Bond reveals their heavily denied lust for one another. And then so much sex, and also some Secret Relationship. (I am always here for Buffy telling the Scoobies where to stick it when they get all weird and controlling, though.) This one plays on Enemies to Lovers or Enemies with Benefits, and probably Pining and Obsession on at least Spike's part. Claiming Bites might also come into it.

- I love to see Buffy put into a position where she has to explicitly and publicly choose Spike. Kinks that might apply: Loyalty, Obsession, Claiming Bites, Soul Bond, Secret Relationship, Enemies to Loves, and any or all of the sexual kinks.

PWP type prompts:

- I want to know what other property damage Spike and Buffy have created while they fuck, particularly if their mutual admiration of fighting prowess kicks it off. Kinks: Sex After Fighting, Sex in the Blood of Their Enemies, Manhandling, Bruises, Desperate Sex, Enemies With Benefits, Fighting Kink.

- Buffy kinking on Spike's fangs. With extra Size Kink, Dirty Talk, Marathon Sex, Manhandling, Rough Sex.

- Spike is very good at getting conversations out of Buffy that others can't. I'd love to see them in a sharing fantasies situation, maybe as a result of Accidental Soul Bond, maybe they're just bored or trapped somewhere. They may or may not then act them out. Dirty Talk, Size Kink, Desperate Sex and Rough Sex are bonuses here.

- Overcome with lust due to Fighting Kink. (An AU of some kind is cool with me here too, if you like, something that puts Buffy more explicitly allied with Spike. Or canon works just as well.) Desperate Sex, Sex in the Blood of Their Enemies, Sex After Fighting.

Fandom: Lucifer (TV)
Relationship: Chloe Decker/Lucifer Morningstar
Medium: Fanfiction
Kinks: Het Anal, Kink Discovery, First Time, Friends With Benefits, Pining, Loyalty, Crossdressing, Manhandling/Shows of Athleticism During Sex, Wall Sex, Snowed In, Marathon Sex, Undercover as a Couple, Fantasizing, Truth or Dare, Large Cock

I can see this pairing as Friends With Benefits, or a romantic pairing, or a combination of both with one or both of them pining. I think Lucifer and his lack of shame is a blessing to Chloe and the perfect setup for Kink Discovery. I'd love to see her discovering things about herself she didn't know, or getting to explore kinks she knew about but never tried. These prompts are all kind of Chloe-centric, but that doesn't mean I'm not open to Lucifer POV or a more him-focused story.

Some prompts, but feel free to go in a different direction entirely!

- They're Snowed In and Chloe can only resist Lucifer for so long under the circumstances. Maybe Truth or Dare gets out of hand, maybe Lucifer is just Lucifer. Possible Kinks: Marathon Sex, Wall Sex, Athleticism, Kink Discovery.

- Chloe's never tried anal sex. Maybe she's always wanted to, maybe it's never occurred to her. Either way it's happening.

- They're still just police partners, but they have to go Undercover as a Couple, preferably in a situation where they're unobserved by anyone who knows them. I'll love this setup however you play it, but as a prompt-within-a-prompt, Lucifer tries to be convincing and yet a gentleman. Chloe finds him impossible to resist once physical contact is a thing.

- Chloe fantasizing about Lucifer, either before they've gotten together or after. She may or may not get to act out her fantasy. Canon gave us Chloe having a sex dream about Lucifer-with-horns, so she seems to kink on his supernatural-ness - I'd love to see more of that dynamic.

- Chloe finds she really, really likes Lucifer crossdressing.

- Chloe doesn't believe Lucifer can really live up to his reputation, but once she goes to bed with him she finds that he really, really does. Tell me all about the Marathon Sex, the Wall Sex, the Large Cock, the Shows of Athleticism During Sex. Give me Chloe having the best day of her life and being kind of obvious about it afterward. Also the Maze reaction, and the Dan reaction, if you'd like, because I think it would be hilarious.

Fandom: MCU
Relationship/s: James "Bucky" Barnes/Tony Stark (MCU), Loki/Tony Stark (MCU)
Medium: Fanfiction
Kink: Assassins & Hitmen (Having Sex), Sex in the Blood of their Enemies, Murder Kink, Competence Kink, Intelligence Kink, Weapons Kink, Psychopaths In Love, Rough Sex, Marking, Bloodplay, Possessive Behavior, Biting, Character Turned Into Vampire, Succubi & Incubi

I'm here for an AU Tony wreaking bloody chaos with either Bucky or Loki. I think Tony sees a kindred spirit in both Loki and Bucky, for different reasons. For Loki it's being the smartest kid in the room and not fitting in because of it, and then carrying the guilt of your fuckups. For Bucky it's the shared humor, loyalty, ruthlessness and guardedness. If you go with Bucky, I'd prefer that he'd mostly broken the Winter Solider programming, perhaps with Tony's help.

Maybe it's an Assassins AU, maybe someone is a vampire or an incubus. Maybe it's just a bit apocalyptic and it's every man for himself now. Dub-con is fine for this request.

Prompts!

- Assassins AU! They're on a successful hit and they were *so hot* doing their thing. Kinks: Murder Kink, Weapons Kink, Blootletting, Biting.

- Someone (preferably Tony) has been Turned Into a Vampire. Probably he tries to keep it secret. But now he's got all these cool freaky powers, and his boyfriend is either a super solider or an alien wizard, so their blood is probably extra tasty. Fortunately, Boyfriend is happy - so happy - with the biting and the blood and the cool new powers.

- One of them is a secret Incubus! Angst, discovery...kink? Turns out that an incubus is actually really fun.

- Psychopath AU. Tony has gone or always has been a supervillian, or maybe just really set on doing what he's doing and is just very ruthless with his enemies. Or anyone in the way. Bucky's his boyfriend/enforcer and Tony finds his killings things to be very hot. Or Loki is his genius partner in the lab and they both find each other's methods for dealing with adversaries to be very hot. Lots of Possessive Behavior, Biting, Rough Sex, Marking, Psychopaths in Love.

Dear Hetswap Author,

Hi! Pleased to meet you. I hope I've given you what you need to make writing for my prompts stress-free, but if not, please do ask me anything you need via a mod. If it helps, you can poke at my fic and bookmarks at AO3.

If you're browsing my old letters and a different prompt looks interesting, that is fine with me!

AO3 name: cher
Things I love: Magic and tech systems - how stuff works in each universe. Pining. Banter. Characters utterly necessary to one another. Assassins in Love. Humour. Nostalgia and the melancholy that can go with it. Competence. Mythology. The wonder of meeting the supernatural or the strange for the first or fiftieth time. Belonging. The relationship of the everyday to the extraordinary.

I enjoy shippy fic of any rating from G to explicit, and also enjoy gen character pieces, case or mission fic, or anything really! Whichever direction calls, writer, go! While my bookmarks reveal a tendency toward m/m, I love and appreciate f/f, m/f and all other permutations as well.

Some favourite tropes: "Forced to tell the truth" in all its versions (truth serum, spell, drinking games, sudden telepathy, sudden soulbond, etc). Third party observer. One or both halves of a pairing oblivious to their feelings. Pining. Getting together. Bodyswap. Loyalty kink.

None of these things are essential to my enjoyment of the fic you write. :)

Fandom: Vatta's War - Elizabeth Moon
Characters: Rafe Dunbarger/Kylara Vatta

Original Optional Details: I love these two so much because they ping my 'assassins in love' kink so hard.

Fandom: Lucifer (TV)
Characters: Chloe Decker/Lucifer Morningstar

I love these two together so very much. I can see them as a romantic pairing, but also as a non-exclusive friends with benefits sort of deal. I love getting together fic, and I enjoy G-rated shippiness just as much as explicit porniness, so please write wherever you're comfortable on that scale!I have not seen any of Season 2 yet, so while I don't care about spoilers I'll also need a bit of exposition if you're riffing off something set there.

Prompts if you enjoy them (if you don't, follow your muse!):

- What I love about Lucifer as a character is that he doesn't have any body or sex related shame, and therefore doesn't project that onto anyone else either. That makes him a safe space for experimentation and comfort. (If you read him differently that is absolutely fine - I don't expect you to write him a certain way if you don't see it. :)) I'd love to play with that. What's Chloe always wanted to try but hasn't been brave enough / hasn't had the right partner?

- Cabin fic! I'd love a getting-together story with Lucifer and Chloe forced together by circumstance somewhere isolated and cosy-ish. Cuddling by the fire! (Has Lucifer ever cuddled before?) If you like, sex. (They are in an isolated place and Chloe can be loud. This is a relief for a parent, I imagine.)

- Chloe is in peril! Lucifer is angry enough with her captors to let her see his supernatural-ness. He is a magnificent BAMF. Angst! She will hate him now! But she's safe! What does Chloe actually do?

- I'm interested in seeing a Chloe who is fascinated, intrigued, maybe even kinks on Lucifer's supernatural-ness, rather than backing away or pretending she doesn't see it.

- Humans are so confusing. Chloe explains something she thinks should be obvious to Lucifer. Maybe this changes his understanding of their relationship. Maybe it's just a sweet moment.

Kidfic squick does not apply to Trixie. She's cool, and she can appear in your fic if you need her to.

More: I love this show for it's everything, really, but Lucifer's anything goes attitude is so much fun. I headcanon the idea the Lucifer is a safe space for Chloe for anything, really, because of that lack of judgement he has going. I love seeing Chloe be the same for him, and letting him drop all his fronts.

I love the supernatural elements a lot. Angels! Demons! Stonework feels more like home than, like, normal plastered walls!

Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Characters: Spike/Buffy Summers, Faith Lehane/Spike

In Buffy-verse, I am open to darkfic, fluff, porn, casefic - anything, really. It's a dark canon, and also a fun one, so go with whatever direction you want. Grief and mourning are a big part of the canon, for this canon deathfic is okay, if that's what you want to write.

Prompts if you want them:

Buffy/Spike: I love Buffy and Spike together.

- The "we get each other" vibe that comes out when Spike and Buffy have fun killing things together is the best. I cannot read enough stories where they ditch the other Scoobies so they can fight things on their own and no one can judge Buffy for it. (And then they have sex. If you like writing that. Otherwise, they just kill things a lot.)

- I love Spike's pining after Buffy. I'd love a story in which Buffy discovers how much he's been doing to help and protect her behind her back, while still pretending to be the Big Bad to her face. She's Buffy; she's probably still mad at him no matter what. But what to do with this information?

- Post Season 7, Buffy is intensely grieving Spike, in a way that forces the Scoobies to take her feelings for him seriously. She may or may not then discover his presence in LA.

- Sudden telepathy! Oh no! Buffy and Spike can hear one another's thoughts!

Faith/Spike:
I think these two could have some glorious fun together. I think they'd recognise and shore up one another's insecurities. I can see them being very good together, or totally destructive. Either is fine with me!

- Rampage! I can see these two playing off each others' liking for a good fight. Are they fighting demons? Making Angel's life hell? Both?

- Life hasn't been especially kind to either of these characters. I'd like to see them offering comfort to one another, whatever that might look like. A few beers and karaoke? A few whiskeys and a good fight? Knock down drag out sex? Sitting quietly in the moonlight? A shared Burning of the Ex's Things?

- Faith seems to fit the kind of woman Spike could properly fall for, but I can also see them using each other. Dysfunction! Or true love?

Fandom: Crossover Fandom
Characters: Lucifer Morningstar/Buffy Summers, Alex Krycek/Buffy Summers, Logan (X-Men)/Buffy Summers, Methos/Buffy Summers

Uh, so, I love Buffy dropped into canons with loner assassin types. I usually prefer Buffy entering the other fandom's verse, rather than the other way around, but whereever your idea takes you! With all of these, feel free to pull in any of the supporting characters from either canon involved, if you want to. Or cross a bunch of them over, if the urge takes you.

Alex/Buffy: How does she deal with aliens? *Are* they aliens, or are they really demons that XF-verse doesn't understand? Either way, can Buffy help fight them? How did they meet? Or, Alex on the run finds his way to Sunnydale. Maybe Buffy finds him managing to take out a demon with a gun and determination. Maybe Alex is in town looking for magical help for a better prosthesis. These are both pragmatic characters who will take a good ally in a pinch, and I think they'd be impressed by one another's survival instincts. Buffy might not like Alex's ethics, depending on where in her timeline she is. How does this play out? Allies-with-benefits? The one that got away? That one summer romance who occasionally shows up again with mayhem on his or her trail?

Logan/Buffy: I'd like to see a post Season 7 Buffy meeting Logan. (Anywhere in his timeline except "Logan" movie - so with his healing factor working, please.) I think he'd adore her - he can't seem to resist a woman with warrior instincts. I'd like to see how his gruffness would come up against Buffy's quipping. (Or is she older, sadder, quieter in the future? Maybe!) I can see them being good companions, and better fighting partners. I think Buffy and Logan both need a cause to fight for - what if one of them has lost that? (He's lost his memories again, she's no longer the only Slayer and isn't needed, he's not with the X-Men for some reasons... whatever you like.)

Lucifer/Buffy: I just really want to see these two interacting. I think they'd have great banter. Would Buffy try to kill him on sight and then have to be talked down? (I'd kind of love a scenario like this as a reveal for Chloe - Buffy's in LA to talk to Angel, maybe, runs across Lucifer and he sets off her Slayer sense immediately. Does he know what a Slayer is? Can he sense her time in Heaven?) Maybe they've met in Hell? I can't see them taking up together with any seriousness in Lucifer-canon, necessarily, but if you can I'd love to read it. I *could* see a serious thing if Buffy was trapped in Hell for some reason - I think under those circumstances, before Lucifer came to LA, if they were both in hopeless places they'd be good together. Otherwise, I can see a one night stand, maybe. But I am happily, happily willing to read any scenario you come up with!

Methos/Buffy: Has Methos met Slayers before? Can she sense there's something different about him? I'd love to see them meet post Season 7 for Buffy, at a time when she is at loose ends and perhaps a bit world weary. I could see Methos being able to love Buffy deeply, but would he choose to stay with such a trouble magnet again? I think Buffy is drawn to supernatural lovers and I think she'd like the glimpses of Death under the Adam exterior. Methos is possibly older than the First Slayer - does he know anything about the creation of the Slayer line? Demons are canonical for Highlander - has he worked with Slayers in the past? Are Buffy type Watchers and Highlander type Watchers the same organisation? Does that make Immortals a different kind of Slayer experiment? I don't know, these canons have interesting mythologies when you mix them, and I think Methos and Buffy could have really great chemistry.

Dear Chocolate Box Fen,

Fandom: Lucifer (TV)
Characters: Chloe Decker/Lucifer Morningstar

Okay, so, I ship it like burning. Buuuut I also love pining, so I will be happy with pre-ship, established relationship or getting together. Look I just love these two dweebs a bunch. Any rating is good with me, G to explicit. I do not have access to Season 2 where I am, so while I don't care about spoilers, please don't assume knowledge of post Season 1 canon.

Prompt ideas, if you like prompts:

- Things affect Lucifer's body differently when he's with Chloe. How does that play out in bed? Does he experiment with new sensations? Pain? Different in general? (But if you go with this please don't have him feeling embarrassed.)

- Lucifer pretty much gets one reaction to The Eyes of Doom. But grow up on enough anime and coloured eyes are, like, just sort of cool? Maybe even a kink? I'd love to see a Chloe who after getting over the "WTF angels are a thing" stage, actually likes his Devil Eyes. I feel that Season Two Maze would find this hilarious.

- Look I just love pining. So much. You can write me pining from either or both sides and I will be happy. Why? I don't know. He thinks she should never be with the big bad devil, when it comes down to it. She thinks he only wants her for a night and she couldn't bear it. She decides his family is way too dangerous to bring Trixie into. He is sure she'll never love him and resigns himself to protecting from the sidelines. Anything really. Resolved in the fic, or not.

Kidfic squick does not apply for this fandom - Trixie's cool.

Fandom: Stargate Atlantis
Characters: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay

Original Optional Details: I miss these dorks so bad. John Sheppard is my favourite possibly ever. You can set this anywhere you like - I haven't seen post Season 3, but can infer most of what's happening. Any rating, G to Explicit. I prefer a getting together or pining from afar scenario for these two, but if you have an established relationship idea, go for it as well!

Prompts

- Earth Shore Leave. John thought he had lots to do on earth, but it turns out he just misses his city and wants to be with Rodney. Rodney may or may not agree.

- Look, there will never be a point in my life when I will have read too many Aliens Made Them Do It (But They Are Secretly Really Happy About That) fics, so... there's that.

- John vs His Loner Complex. Who will win? The oddly compelling scientist who is such a pain in the butt? Listening to Johnny Cash in the dark forever? Unlikely matchmaker Ronon Dex?

More: Things I love about John Sheppard: He's so, so, smart and doesn't want you to know it. He follows more of what Rodney does than most realise. He's so, so, lonely and really doesn't want you to know it. He's a ridiculous dork who pulls the best faces. He and Rodney are the best snarkmasters in any fandom ever. I love them teasing each other. The scene in The Storm when he single-handedly takes back Atlantis from the Genii - particularly the time he's hiding *above their heads* under one of the catwalks - is one of the hottest things I have ever seen.

And Rodney is the funniest, bravest, most heartwarming character. He *tries so hard*. I love when he gets to go outside his comfort zone and do well in one of Sheppard's areas of expertise.

Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Characters: Spike/Buffy Summers

Original Optional Details: This is a ship I absolutely believe in, but it's Buffy. It's dark, fluffy, ridiculous, hopeless and so, so happy, depending. So feel free to go with any mood that takes you here. Darkfic is fine, porn is great, quiet moments of support are great too. You could set it anywhere in the TV run or post-canon, though I'm not too closely up on the comics storylines. G to Explicit.

I prefer no Angel appearances.

Prompts:

- Buffy noticed her *thing* with Spike earlier in canon. When? Why?

- Once, they knocked down a house and ...didn't notice. That can't have been the only time things got out of hand.

- Buffy and Spike are a really good slaying team. I'd love to see them kicking ass together.

More: Of all the relationships Buffy has had I am firmly on team Spike. I think he understands her better than any other person in her life, and accepts her as she is. That's good for her, and sometimes bad for him. His kind of self-destructive love is my jam. I love that he is so loyal to her.

I love that Buffy doesn't have to hide her "dark" personality traits with Spike - that she can gleefully kill things with him. I love that she can use her full strength with him. I love that he loves sex and makes her less ashamed of loving it too. Their 'no one else gets us' thing - especially during the times when they are secretly together - is delightful and hits all my 'us against the world' buttons.

*

Fandom: Labyrinth (1986)
Characters: Jareth/Sarah Williams, Jareth & Sarah Williams

Original Optional Details: I imprinted so hard on Jareth growing up. I've requested either / or & for these two. I don't have a preference either way - I'd just love to see futurefic with these two. Adult Sarah and Jareth, and what their relationship looks like. If you prefer to set your fic when Sarah is a teenager, please avoid any kind of a sexual dynamic. Pining is as always fine, though!

Tone-wise ... this is essentially a fairy tale, and faeries, as we know, bite. If your fic wants to be darkfic, that's totally fine with me. If it wants to be happy or porny, that is fine too!

Prompts:

- Adult Sarah's relationship to Jareth. Do they have one? Does she call him, and if so, how and how often? Has she decided to be a Goblin Queen after all? Why?

- What's it like to be an all-powerful Goblin King who nevertheless is stuck playing out roles for teenage girls? (Boys?) Does it happen often or is Sarah unusual?

- Darkfic! Sarah is haunted by Jareth. This changes her life quite a bit. How does she deal with him, as she grows older?

More: I'd love to see more of who Jareth is when he isn't acting within a scripted set of circumstances. It's a fae world - what are its rules? Who does he have for actual adult company and conversation? Is he all about bargains, promises, rules? Or mischief and chaos? He seems lonely. What does he want? Is it actually fun being Goblin King?

Dear Writer,

Hi! It seems like Yuletide is my sole fannish participation lately, so I apologise for the very empty journal. If I've not given you enough to go on, please do ask me anything you need via a mod. If it helps, you can poke at my fic and bookmarks at AO3.

I hope this Yuletide is a great one for you.

Some favourite tropes: "Forced to tell the truth" (truth serum, spell, drinking games etc). Third party observer. One or both halves of a pairing oblivious to their feelings. Pining. Getting together.

None of these things are essential to my enjoyment of the fic you write. :)

Things I Do Not Love: Non-con, dub-con, incest, any kind of explicit or implied sexual relationship between an adult and child or teenager, humiliation in any context, deathfic, pregnancy, kidfic, animal harm, eye injury. And a cephalopod (squid, octopus) phobia, um.

Fandom: The Wood Wife - Terri Windling
Characters: Any (Nominated are Anna Naverra, Crow, Maggie Black, Dora del Rio)

Original Optional Details: This book.

Source Material: One book of roughly 300 pages.

Fandom: The Black Tapes Podcast
Characters: Alex Reagan, Richard Strand

Original Optional Details: I binged this podcast when I found it. I love everything about it and I can't wait for Season 3. (I have no idea when that's going to come out, but you can be sure that I'll keep up, Writer, so feel free to use whatever part of canon that appeals to you - most recent to oldest.) The concept, the way the story is presented and the show edited, what's included and what might be implied. I love that we hear Nic challenging Alex every so often, either because she really does need it or because he's playing Devil's Advocate.

If you ship it:
Okay, so, I ship Alex and Dr. Strand pretty hard and I would love something shippy of any rating. The Shared Room At the Hotel, omg. Is there pining? I love pining. How hard is it to work with someone who figuratively slams the door every time there's a disagreement? And how do those final-sounding disagreements keep getting solved? To what extent is what we hear edited and stage managed, and how much of what's going to air is Dr. Strand aware of, or help Alex record in a certain way?

I'm really intrigued that on Alex's Sleep Notes, despite having what appears even on-air to be an intense relationship of *some* kind, she still - even half asleep when you think she'd use his first name - says "Dr. Strand". That suggests to me that that's how she thinks of him in her head. Why, at this stage of professional (at least) relationship?

Coralee: I'd prefer that Coralee not be a focus of your story - for some reason I'm just not very interested in her motivations.

If you don't ship it:
Despite all that ramble, I will also love something gen; casefic, character study, whatever you like. I love third-party observer fic and would also really enjoy another character's (Nic? Ruby?) take on Alex, Dr. Strand and The Black Tapes mysteries.

I wouldn't have started listening if I didn't love the mystery and investigation side of things. Investigating a new Black Tape or a "listener question" would be great. What's Simon Reese up to? Tannis Braun? Can Strand ever be induced to get along with Tannis and what even is going on there? Is Nic right that there's a demon-possession meme best traced through psychiatric facilities?

I love this show so hard, but I have a couple of fandom-specific DNWs:
I admit; this show creeps me out sometimes and since I'll be staying the middle of nowhere for Christmas, I would prefer it if you avoided focusing on creepiness experienced by Alex or Dr. Strand directly. I mostly mean, I'd prefer not a focus on Alex's personal hauntings or either of them having their own Tall Paul. Mentioning is fine, though, of course! And you can be as creepy as you like if it's in the context of something they're investigating.

I'm not a fan of the manipulative!Strand interpretation and would prefer Strand treated as dealing with Alex (relatively) honestly.

More: I am up to date with TANIS as well, so if you like both shows and want to have Alex and Strand investigating something TANIS related, I am cool with that too. Nic/Geoff is a bit of a NOTP for me but other than that all is cool. And TANIS stuff does not freak me out at all...that's just the demons. (Why is it always demons?)

Source Material: Podcast, two seasons of twelve episodes each

Fandom: The Administration - Manna Francis
Characters: Val Toreth, Keir Warrick, Sara Lovelady

Original Optional Details: I discovered this fandom via this year's Yuletide nominations and read all the online-available stories in about a week. I will get my paws on the rest one of these days.

Sara is a real favourite, and I've included her because I love her so much, but if you have a Toreth and Warrick story you're dying to tell, it's okay if you don't include her. I am not opposed to a non-permanent Sara/Warrick/Toreth threesome if you can make it work!

More: If you'd like the porn option, my favourite kinks are dirty talk, come play, object insertion, objectification (without humiliation), but don't feel like you have to use these! I love that Toreth finds Warrick's danger kink so funny. Actually, I wonder what does Warrick think of his own kinks? He mostly seems to just go with it, but sometimes he seems to surprise himself with what he wants. While the power exchange part of their relationship isn't a kink I share, the psychology of it within their relationship does interest me. I love that Toreth spends so much time planning scenes for them, and Warrick knows that he does - but does he know that Toreth's scared that the day he stops being able to surprise Warrick is the day Warrick leaves him? (I'm not attached to particular top or bottom partners either - if you've been dying to write top!Warrick, sure, go for it!)

Fandom: Poison Elves
Characters: Lusiphur Malache

Original Optional Details: This series just is glorious. I received a wonderful fic for Yuletide years and years ago, and this year I have a wish for more. I love Lusiphur and his ridiculous, hilarious, violent world. I love Parintachin, and the whole idea of an imp that lives in people's heads. I love all the implications for Lusiphur's relative sanity as a result.

This is one of those "I'll be so excited to see fic for the fandom that you can write anything at all!" fandoms, but that is probably less that helpful, so: I would love an exploration of Lusiphur and Parintachin's relationship. Maybe Parintachin POV on something Lusiphur is up to. Anything with Jace. I think Lusiphur snapping and the whole episode with Mr. Moto is one of the funniest things I have ever read. That and pretty much any time Luse is arguing with another assassin - the insults and the threatening are hilarious to me. And the mayhem. And Jace and Luse getting into trouble together. And Tenth! And the Purple Marauder. Look, I'm a bit incoherent is what I'm saying.

Any stage of canon is fine with me. (It's been ages since I've read the comics closely, I should do that. I have not read any of the 2013 (and after?) releases.)

Source Material: A series of comics / graphic novels written by Drew Hayes and published by Mulehide Graphics, and then Sirius. Historically they are a bit hard to come by or I would provide links. I think they may have been reprinted recently?

Fandom: Matthew Swift Series - Kate Griffin
Characters: Matthew Swift, Blue Electric Angels

Original Optional Details: The worldbuilding and the magic systems in this universe are just brilliant, and I'm so fascinated by the way urban sorcery works.

I've read all the books and the Magicals Anonymous spinoff books, and I'm happy with a story set anywhere in the timeline, of any rating.

More: This world is just so damn clever. I love everything about how the magic works, but I'm really, really fond of the city's avatars - The Beggar King and The Bag Lady etc. One of the key things I enjoy about the series is the use of language and dialect, the way certain characters speak like real-world people.

Source Material: Series of books of around 400 pages each.

Dear Writer,

Hello! I'm sorry I'm a frustrating lurker with very little fannish presence. To make up for this, I am happy to field any questions via mod that will make your life easier. If it helps, you can poke at my fic and bookmarks at AO3.

I wish you a wonderful Yuletide.

Fandom: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Characters: Tony Stark

Original Optional Details: Oh, Tony. I am a complete sucker for all incarnations of Tony Stark, but this one is a particular favourite. This is such a kind version of Tony. He just seems to really, really want his new friends to have great stuff and get along, and if they would maybe like him a little that would be excellent. He seems like such a quietly lonely character here. And I'm a bit in love with his pretty gold eyes.

Alongside Tony, I really like Jan, T'Challa and Clint in this series. Any kind of team bonding is lovely. Or mission-fic, or SCIENCE, or character introspection, or a shippy get-together if you like. Or anything else that grabs your fancy.

Where I am, getting hold of the series isn't the easiest thing ever, so I haven't seen all of the second season, but don't worry about spoiling me - I keep up as well as I can online.

I ship Tony/Steve and Tony/Maria in this universe, if you want to go there, any rating. Gen is great too.

Fandom: Bedlam's Bard - Mercedes Lackey
Characters: Any (nominated are Korendil, Beth and Eric)

Original Optional Details: Oh my gosh I was so excited to see this book had been nominated. This is a teenage favourite and I never did get enough of these three. I really, really wanted more Eric/Beth/Kory in any form I could get it.

If you ship it, I'd love to read it, any rating. If you'd prefer to write about any one or two of the characters rather than all three that's great too, but I'd prefer it wasn't a sad fic this time around. (Beth and Kory coping while Eric is gone doesn't fall into the 'sad' category for me, though, if you want to cover that period.)

I loved the elves so very much and never got tired of Magic vs Tech and Human Morality vs the views of the immortals. And Eric's endless angsting, and Beth's practicality. And the music. And Korendil getting frustrated and sneakily magicing his problems away. Just, everything. (If Tannim and the SERRAted Edge crew happen to make an appearance, I will not object in the least!)

Fandom: Creature Court Trilogy - Tansy Rayner Roberts
Characters: Any (Nominated characters are Velody, Ashiol, Garnet and Delphine)

Original Optional Details: This such an interesting, *intense* fandom for me. There's so much going on, so much urgency, mystery, and wonder. The world of the Creature Court seems so colourful and hyper-real, and the characters all seem to feel things so deeply. I still don't really think I get what was going on with the sky, but I enjoyed the stuffing out of the series.

I loved Velody, and how she deals with all the Power and Majesty decisions she needs to make. My favourite thing was the relationship between Velody and Ashiol, but Writer, if you actually know this canon you have already made my Yuletide. I will be happy with a story about any character or combination of characters, nominated or not.

If you ship it, I'd love explicit (or not) Velody/Ashiol, Velody/Ashiol/Garnet, or even Ashiol/Garnet. If you have a story you want to tell about Delphine, (or anyone!) yay! Her arc is so great and I'll love anything you do with her. I promise that I like gen, slash and het, of any rating just as much as each other, but I wanted to let you know you can go wherever your story takes you and I am so there.

More: It's like this series was made for fic. But there is none! In a kind of Rome-analogue, there are people who can turn into animals, and fly, and they are the soldiers who fight the sky-demons who try to destroy the city during the night. To the day folk it's a long-ago myth, but to the Creature Court it's a reality that defines them and makes them all a volatile lot. The series is full of awesome, and awesome women, and more sex than a few goodreads reviewers are comfortable with. If you are so inclined to write porn for this fandom, that is a-okay with me.

So! Ashiol is a hopeless case, but I really enjoyed he and Velody trying to get along. Some of my favourite moments in the books are their ridiculous UST and its resolution. I was intrigued with Garnet's story once it was finally resolved and I'm interested in exploring that. Garnet and Ashiol's story with that new perspective would be fascinating. Anything at all about Velody is welcome.

Delphine was amazing, and one of my favourite characters. I loved her whole arc.

And hey, if you have a story to tell about someone else who wasn't nominated at all, that would be welcome too.

Source Material: A series of three books of around 500 pages each, fantasy/alt history. It's an Australian book. Available as an ebook or in print but it doesn't look easy to get outside of Australia. The books are Power and Majesty, Reign of Beasts and The Shattered City.

Fandom: Matthew Swift Series - Kate Griffin

Fandom: The Craft Sequence - Max Gladstone
Characters: Izza, from Full Fathom Five

Original Optional Details: I am completely fascinated by the world of the Craft. I love the complex magic and law systems, the diverse characters and cultures, the everyday horror of this universe. I've read all four books and played Choice of the Deathless, so don't worry about any spoilers anywhere.

I wrote and received Craft fic last year and it was glorious. So glorious. This year I'm asking for Izza from Full Fathom Five, because I loved the idea of her as priestess, storytelling new deities into being. I love her as survivor and protector and holder her of own little subculture.

I'd love to hear more stories about the Blue Lady and the other new gods, or Izza being awesome in general.

I loved Mako's storyline in this novel as well, too, if you'd prefer to explore him.

More: I love this world. I love its beautiful diversity, its everyday horror, and the explorations of divinity and human relationship to it. Some of my favourite moments have been Tara showing Abelard dead Kos, Cat's struggle with her place in Justice/Seril and the way that plays out later in Full Fathom Five, Izza discovering The Blue Lady in Full Fathom Five, Mal overcome by horror (maybe?) when she sees Qet bound, Mako telling Kai of his heartbreak on returning to the island.

But, I also love the legal side this world. The first thing I loved about this series was kind of, "Magical amoral lawyers!" and then it was, "Wow, all these different kinds of humans being complicated! And their feelings about gods! And capitalism!". I get very flaily, is what I'm saying.

The Source Material: Three books about 400 pages each, set in the same world and loosely interconnecting. And a text-based RPG called Choice of the Deathless, available for iOS and Android.

Dear Writer,

I hope you have a fantastic Yuletide. If there is more info you need from me to help your Yuletide be awesome, I'd be glad to provide.

I have, and it's probably very obvious, copied a lot of this years' letter from last years'. I hope that doesn't seem too boring ... I just don't seem to have picked up many new Yuletide fandoms this year, so my requests are similar.

Upfront, I want to assure you that I don't have a favourite request, and I'm going to be just as excited about a story for any one of them.

Things I love: Banter between characters. Magic systems, tech systems, and politics peculiar to each universe. Grittiness. Humour. Nostalgia. Characters being necessary to one another. Feminist characters. Women being awesome. Assassins in love. Competence. Characters who are all "I would burn down the world for you". None of these things are essential to my enjoyment of the fic you write. :)
Things I Do Not Love: Non-con, dub-con, incest, humiliation in any context, deathfic, pregnancy, kidfic.
My fic: If you're interested, my fic on AO3.

Fandom: Vatta's War - Elizabth Moon
Characters: Kylara Vatta, Rafe Dunbarger

Original Optional Details: I asked for Ky and Rafe, and I completely ship it, but it's totally fine if you want to write about just one of them.

I love their competence in their different fields. I was fascinated by Ky's arc of realisation about herself and the kind of person she is, and the way that she and Rafe connected over it. The contrast of Rafe's acceptance of and comfort with his identity as a killer, and Ky's series-long exploration of what that same quality means for her. Assassins in love is one of my favourite tropes, and these two characters pinged it... even though neither is technically an assassin.

Any story about Ky and Rafe - or even just one of them - would be great. Either set during the books as they get to know one another, or afterwards. I am happy with any rating of fic you want to write.

Pregnancy and kidfic are on my dislikes list, though, so I would prefer to avoid that if it's a future!fic.

More: I loved Ky as a character. Her cool head, her fierceness, her self confidence and reliance, and her gift for strategy. One of my favourite parts of her arc is her realisation that she actively likes combat and killing, and what she does with that. When Rafe realises that about Ky as well, and decides that she is therefore The Perfect Woman, it pinged my Assassins in Love kink hard.

So I'd love to explore that, if you're interested! Some prompts, if you would like them: Moon faded to black when Ky and Rafe finally got it together at the end of the last book. So what happened?

If you like to write action, I'd love a mission!fic with the two of them being bad ass and awesome together, whether it's set during or after the book arc.

Slice of life fics are cool with me too, as are political intrigue.

And if you'd rather not write about Ky-and-Rafe as a ship fic, then character studies are always fun to read. Or I'd love to see Ky finally getting to talk to Grace about what it means to discover you're a killer - even if Rafe doesn't appear in the fic.

Or something totally different! Go for it.

Source Material: A series of five books, around 400 pages each. Military scifi / space opera.

Fandom: Vagrant Story
Characters: Ashley, Sydney

Original Optional Details: It's a tradition of mine to include Vagrant Story in my requests every Yuletide, and I have gotten some wonderful fics.

I love the world and love the characters. I really enjoy post-game fic, or if you prefer, missing scenes or switched POVs from within the game. If you choose post-game, I'm on board with Sydney corporeal, non-corporeal, or something else entirely. (If your story wants to be about just Ashley or just Sydney, then that's totally cool, too. )

Gen or slash is cool with me. I do ship Ashley and Sydney, so a slash story of whatever rating would be welcome, but please don't think you have to go in that direction.

As some ideas, I love the magic and the Dark, and I can't get enough of Ashley learning how to use the Dark (maybe with Sydney for a teacher?). I'd also really enjoy Sydney's early relationship with the Dark and Mullenkamp, if that interests you.

Basically I'm a total fangirl for Vagrant Story. I keep requesting it for Yuletide, I keep getting wonderful stories, and I keep wanting more. Author, you can do no wrong here.

More: I'm not sure what I can add here. I'm a bit fascinated by Sydney's claws and the Rood tattoo, and what Sydney's powers are exactly. Even Sydney's relationship to Mullenkamp. What the Dark is. What snowflies really are.

Fandom: Creature Court Trilogy - Tansy Rayner Roberts
Characters: Velody (Nominated characters are Velody, Ashiol, Garnet and Delphine)

I like gen, slash and het, of any rating.

Fandom: Demon's Lexicon: Sarah Rees Brennan
Characters: Nick, Mae

Original Optional Details: I've received awesome Lexicon fic in past Yuletides, and I would be thrilled all over again to read more fic.

Please feel free to include any other characters you'd like! I just really love Nick, and I really love Mae. (If you want to write about just Nick or just Mae, that is totally cool, too.)

I really enjoy the relationship between Nick and Mae, as friends and/or romantically. I am also a big fan of Sin.

I'm most interested in a story set around Covenant or Surrender, or even post-canon, where Nick is a little further along with his emotional development than he is in Lexicon. But, if Lexicon is where your story is, go for it.

I am fine with a story with no focus on romance, or with Nick/Mae of any rating.

More: In this fandom, I love that for all the characters, they all have someone or several someones for whom they will sacrifice anything. And they are all true to themselves, whatever that means for them.

I particularly like the way Mae constantly and explicitly defines and defends her boundaries. I love her agency, that she consciously chooses everything she does, even if she's not sure of the outcome. I love how smart and determined she is. Actually, I love that about Annabel, Helen and Sin as well.

And Nick just tries so hard, it breaks my heart. I love his humour and his bursts of fliration, and how that balances with his utter confusion about emotion and desire.

I like all the characters in the Lexicon universe, although Seb doesn't interest me as much as most of the others. Incest squicks me, so please no Alan/Nick. If you choose to focus on Sin and Mae, I love their rivalry, sincere admiration for one another, and solid friendship. I can see also them as an f/f pairing and would enjoy anything from gen to explicit. And if you'd like to write about Annabel, I loved her grace, her kick-ass attitude, and her competence.

Source Material: Trilogy of books, around 400 pages each. Available from Amazon in print or Kindle.

Fandom: Matthew Swift Series - Kate Griffin
Characters: Any (nominated are Kelly Shiring, Matthew Swift, Oda, Penny Ngwenya, Sharon Li.)

Original Optional Details: I got wonderful fic for this fandom last year! There is so much to say in this universe that I've love more. The worldbuilding and the magic systems here are just brilliant, and I'm so fascinated by the way urban sorcery works. I didn't pick a character, because everyone is awesome. I love Matthew, I have a big soft spot for Kelly and I think Penny is just the best fun ever, but I like all of the characters. I admit to a strong fondness for Women Kicking Ass.

I've read all the books and the spinoff, and I'm happy with a story set anywhere in the timeline, of any rating.

As a thought, I loved Kelly the PA in the Minority Council, and if you were inspired I'm very interested in the world from her perspective. Or, anything about Matthew and the Angels and their relationship I will eat up with a spoon.

More: This world is just so damn clever. I love everything about how the magic works, but I'm really, really fond of the city's avatars - The Beggar King and The Bag Lady etc. One of the key things I enjoy about the series is the use of language and dialect, the way certain characters speak like real-world people.

In Stray Souls, I thought it was hilarious to see Matthew from the perspective of someone who knows nothing at all about him, and how absolutely batshit he looks to an observer. I would enjoy more of that, if you're so inclined.

Or, if you've read the latest in the Magicals Anonymous series, Matthew's side of that or the aftermath for him?

Or Oda, and what she finally came to think of the people she worked with, Order or magical.

Or the continuing adventures of Sharon and Friends.

Source Material: Series of books of around 400 pages each.

Fandom: The Craft Sequence - Max Gladstone
Characters: Tara Abernathy

Original Optional Details: I picked Tara, because I kind of loved her ...almost innocent?... ruthlessness in the way she employs the Craft. She is just full of asskicking and awesome. And also kind of horrible, in her treatment of Shale-the-gorgoyle. But, you have blanket permission to write about anyone who appears in any of the books, or to go with a worldbuilding fic here if that's what you're burning to write. I will love Tara-fic, and I will love non-Tara fic just as much.

I love this world.

But, I also love the legal side this world, including Tara's work as a Craftswoman. I'd love an exploration of the Craft in general or the legal aspects of it in particular. The first thing I loved about this series was kind of, "Magical amoral lawyers!" and then it was, "Wow, all these different kinds of humans being complicated! And their feelings about gods! And capitalism!". I get very flaily, is what I'm saying.

I've also loved the game, and if you'd like to go in that direction, I'm super interested in Vega.

Uh. This wouldn't usually be necessary, but I have a cephlapod (squid, octopus) phobia, so no Iskari focus, please?

More: So I'm going on about all these non-Tara ideas, but I don't want you to think I'll be sad about Tara-fic. I really, really won't. It's just I am full of flailing, and it's such a big world, and I'm writing as if I may match to someone who selected "Any".

There are spoilers below for all three books. None of it is critical information, so Writer, don't spoiler yourself if you haven't read all three books.

**

Some ideas: Mako, and his journey home, and what that was like.

Vega's backstory, or the game events from his point of view.

The Penitents kind of freak me out, but I completely loved the way Kai used her experience as a transwoman in holding on to her identity to win the day.

Cat's experiences after finding the shard of Seril.

Izza's new role and the stories of the new goddess/es/gods/.

Teo's further adventures, because she rocks.

Abelard's further adventures with Kos.

What's it like to be a Dealthless King?

Tara being generally kickass and employing more Craft...

Dear Writer,

So excited that you've signed up for one my little fandoms. I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide.

Upfront, I want to assure you that I don't have a favourite request, and I'm going to be just as excited about a story for any one of them.

AO3 name: cher
Things I love: Banter between characters. Magic systems, tech systems, and politics peculiar to each universe. Grittiness. Humour. Nostalgia. Characters being necessary to one another. Feminist characters. Women being awesome. Assassins in love.

Original Optional Details: I would love to read about Ky and Rafe. I was fascinated by Ky's realisations about herself and the kind of person she is, and the way that she and Rafe connected over it.

If you like to write action, I'd love a mission!fic with the two of them being bad assed and awesome together, whether it's set during or after the book arc.

Original Optional Details: I request Vagrant Story every Yuletide, and I have gotten some wonderful fics. I crave even more!

Love the world, love the characters. I'd love something set post-game, or if you prefer, missing scenes or switched POVs from within the game.

Fandom: Bold As Love Cycle - Gwyneth Jones
Characters: Fiorinda Slater, Sage Pender, Ax Preston

Original Optional Details: This fandom is one of those where I would be overjoyed just to see a story. Any story at all! So if you have something you want to tell, please go ahead, even if it doesn't require all three of the characters listed. (As in, I'm fine if you send characters offscreen for most of the story.) I love this universe, and its politics, and its magic-and-tech systems. I also love the relationships between the characters. I prefer to avoid deathfic for Yuletide, but if you happen to have that story to tell, then please do!

I'm happy with gen, threesome, or any combination of m/m and m/f, explicit or not as you prefer. If you'd like a prompt, I'm most interested in the days when the Reich is forming, the period when the three of them first come together as a political (and romantic, if you like) unit, and the time after the close of the series, when the three go off alone.

More: This series includes pretty much all of my stated squicks. I don't know, I love it anyway. If you match on this one, please don't feel like you have to avoid mentioning the squicks, but obviously I'd prefer that you didn't focus on them. Also, an additional squick for this fandom - please no dead!Rufus.

I picked this series up by chance and read the last book first by mistake. Going back to the start, it blew me away. The weird mix of magic and tech, the music - I love the idea of a world run by musicians. I love how clever and determined Fiorinda is, and how tough and cherished. Loved Ax and Sage sorting themselves out in their relationship with one another. The whole shape of this world and its miseries and joys and inevitabilities. I loved every part of it, even the absolute horror of a lot of it.

Source Material: Five books, post-apocalyptic fantasy/sci fi, available from Amazon.

Fandom: Creature Court Trilogy - Tansy Rayner Roberts
Characters: Any (Nominated characters are Velody, Ashiol, Garnet and Delphine)

Original Optional Details: This is that fandom you request because you just discovered it right before Yuletide and are still flailing about it. (By which I don't mean I will be sad if I match on another fandom, just that I'm having trouble being coherent about my feelings.)

My favourite thing was the relationship between Velody and Ashiol, but Writer, if you actually know this canon you have already made my Yuletide. I will be happy with a story about any character or combination of characters, nominated or not.

Dear Writer,

I'm sorry this is late! Assignments went out earlier than I expected!

I hope you're going to have a great Yuletide. Thanks for signing up for one of my beloved fandoms!

I don't have a favourite request, and I'm going to be just as excited about a story for any one of them.

Dear Writer,

I'm so looking forward to reading what you come up with! I'm glad we (probably!) share a fandom or two.

And my apologies for not getting this updated in time for assignments going out. :S

Dear Yuletide Santa / Yulegoat,

[a whole lot of squeeing goes here]

Can't wait to know there's someone out there who loves my tiny fandoms! This year I've requested four fandoms that I'd be so very, very happy to see a story in that anything at all will make me flail in glee. So, if you are the kind of Yulegoat who prefers things short and sweet, let free rein guide you!

If you're the kind of Yulegoat who has arrived here to do some stalking and is freaking out at my empty, exists-pretty-much-just-for-Yuletide journal, read on!

Spoilers for all fandoms - skip the Option Details and More bits for fandoms you're trying to avoid!

I'm really pleased to see that there's now a Hollaback Australia. So, get linking, because Hollaback as a concept thrives on a wide audience.

If you've never come across the idea, Hollaback NYC was (I'm pretty sure?) the first of them. The idea is, if you're commuting or otherwise doing your own thing, and some dickhead leers, gropes, wanks, yells, or is otherwise creepy and offensive, take his picture with your mobile phone and post it on the site. I reckon it ought to be permanently advertised in MX, myself. (That's the free paper handed out at Melbourne's train stations and thus copies are always left all over carriages.)

NYC has their FAQ here. There are sites for a number of different cities or countries, and most sites are linked to each other. Check the links lists on the sites to see if there's one for your city.

This post will stay public for awhile, so y'all are not too much with the confused.

I have just done a large-scale cull of my friends list, for the usual reasons - we no longer share interests, haven't spoken in several aeons etc. Feel free to defriend back, especially given I don't post publically all that much. I wish you all well.
